Our Approach
Working in an industry which doesn’t necessarily lend itself to sustainable practices, it is vitally important that as a business we take the right steps in reducing our carbon footprint.
As a forward thinking Manage Print Services Provider, there are many solutions we can offer our clients and so we practice what we preach with the use of Papercut and Foldr in the office, which significantly reduces the amount we print. In terms of everyday processes we have recently looked at the ways in which we recycle empty packaging, whilst old equipment is either refurbished or disposed off with the relevant WEEE certificates.
All empty toner and ink cartridges, including waste toner, is recycled via the RYPC programme, which we encourage our clients to use with their own login, details on this can be found below.
Other practices in our working environment include the use of energy saving LED lighting and the use of Hybrid vehicles by our on site technicians.
Cicurlar Planet Toner Recycling
The Circular Planet Toner take back and recycling scheme has proven to be very successful, and the quantity of toner cartridges collected has grown since the initial pilot scheme was launched back in November 2023, the UK has collected 9,473 consumable items for recycling which is about 24% of the total items collected by all participating manufacturers.
The idea of a circular economy is based on a very simple fact. We live on a planet with limited resources – which includes the ability of our environment to deal with pollution. If resources are limited and emissions need to be avoided, then there cannot be unlimited growth. The impending global warming and its consequences force all of us in industry, politics and society in general to act.
